Rust X
Rust X is a solution that when regularly applied to piano strings will protect them from rusting caused by exposure to salt air.
The Rust X solution is applied by spraying onto a soft cloth and then wiped onto to the piano strings. The underside of the string can be coated using a cotton bud dipped in the solution.
To protect the soundboard from drips a layer of absorbent paper is placed between the strings and the soundboard before application.
